a masters degree, a family re-united, and the perfect spring session.
Anika's graduation session could not have been better. With a beautiful Friday afternoon, her sweet family that flew in from India to celebrate, and joyful anticipation for the following day where she officially GRADUATED!
Anika, after graduating with her Bachelor's in 2023, decided to pursue her Masters in Economics. During our session, I got to know not only Anika, but her family as well. I learned that her entire family has a analytical, math-inclined mind, as her father is an engineer, her mother's a math teacher, her sister is going into her junior year of university to pursue an engineering degree, and here Anika is with a focus in economics. The mathematical genes are strong!
In addition to celebrating Anika's graduation through photography, we also got to capture their first ever family session!! So of course we had to ditch the cap and gown for a moment, embracing some more traditional family portraits too.
As a Bethlehem portrait photographer, I was overjoyed to see the inquiry for Anika's session, as she is my first official grad I've photographed since moving to the Pennsylvania area almost two years ago. It was truly an honor to capture Anika's Lehigh University graduation photos, as well as cherished family pictures.
Now, as I write this, Anika has officially graduated, and now gets to enjoy three more weeks with her family in town before they return to India - which is surely much-needed, as they've been a part for the last five months. What a treasure to be reunited for such a beautiful milestone. 🩷
