Bridgerton Elegance &

A Faithful First step

This spring, I had the joy of photographing a truly dreamy styled shoot (my first official one under Abide Photo Co.!). It was a milestone that felt both exciting and a tiny bit intimidating, and one that I’ll carry with me for a long time.

The shoot itself was inspired by the soft romance and style of Bridgerton— dusty blues, soft pinks, timeless elegance, and thoughtful details that whispered classy charm. From the incredible wedding downs, to the florals and delicate tablescape, every single detail was impeccable. This was my first time really getting to meet other wedding vendors in the area, and oh my goodness did they do a WONDERFUL job!!

One of the highlights for me was getting to work with our incredible models—Abi, Rose, and Chris—who absolutely killed it. It’s honestly hard to believe none of them model professionally, because the cameras loved them, they took prompts like pros, and they were up for all of our ideas. Rose and Chris, a real-life couple, shared that they never had professional photos taken on their wedding day a few years ago, which made this even more meaningful. Watching them interact in front of the lens truly felt like capturing sweet and intimate moments of a couple truly in love.

What also made this experience special was that it was the first styled shoot I’ve been part of with other photographers present! Seeing the same setting through multiple creative perspectives was inspiring (and quite honestly... refreshing!). Each wedding photographer brought something unique to the table, and it was a needed reminder of how creativity multiplies when it's shared.

But beyond all of that, this shoot was a personal act of obedience.

Re-establishing my photography company here in Pennsylvania wasn’t just a business decision... but rather, it was me responding to a steady invitation from the Lord (which also helped inspire the name Abide Photo Co.). For a while, I’ve felt Him calling me to step fully into this space—to pursue photography with open hands. To stop putting my passions (aka the gifts that He has given me) on the back burner. To just get it started and allow Him to work in and through it. Saying yes brought with it a sense of peace and joy that only comes from walking in alignment with His purpose.

I’m incredibly thankful for this opportunity: for the creatives I got to meet, the photos taken, and my God who continues to lead each step.

Here’s to more beauty, more collaboration, and always more of Him. 🤍
